More and most people I know are beginning to use systems microblogging like Twitter.
I started using it with a plugin for MSN Messenger ... and now I think the best way to tell a friend to serve, is to show searches hashtags.

What catches my attention is microblogging, which is like the first "chat" rooms "that were used on the Internet: IRC and stuff where you could see only text and had a bunch of keys or something (# yoconfieso I did not feel the slightest attraction to Internet) ...
Anyway, sometimes I see and use the microbloging like a chat, do not know if is correct, maybe it's just one of his strengths: That there are no rules
